Do You Want to be a MASS Trainer?

If you are interested in becoming a MASS Trainer and you think you fit the bill, we want to hear from you! Being a MASS Trainer can be an incredibly rewarding and fun experience, and there are opportunities to deliver both face-to-face legal training and webinars.

Who are you?

We welcome applications from both members and non-members of MASS. But before you do, you might like to know what it takes to be a MASS Trainer. Amongst other things, you must –

Be an expert in your field

All our trainers are experts in the field of personal injury law. The reason for this is twofold. Firstly, because we want to deliver Do You Want to be a MASS Trainer?meaningful and authoritative training to our delegates. And secondly, because many of our delegates are experienced solicitors themselves and are participating in legal training to enhance their knowledge-base. The trainer must, therefore, have the skills and expertise necessary to impart new information to all the delegates, not just the inexperienced ones.

Have a passion for learning and development

You need to have a passion for learning and development to be a MASS Trainer. After all, our main aim is to provide personal injury practitioners with relevant and informative training. If you love to share your skills and expertise with your peers, then you will no doubt enjoy being a MASS Trainer.

Love interacting with people

Our training methods are a little different to other, more ‘traditional’ techniques. We don’t go in for long-winded power point presentations or monologues. Rather, our training is interactive, engaging and geared up for group participation. So, if you prefer to deliver lecture-style training, then MASS Training may not suit you. But if you enjoy interacting with new people and lively discussions (and you have the energy!) then you’ll get along just fine.

Be up for the challenge

A couple of years ago we asked Terry Wilson what it’s like to be a MASS Trainer. Along with ‘fun, satisfying and interesting’, she also described the job as ‘challenging’. The challenges you face as a MASS Trainer are many and varied. You have to cater to an audience of varying skillsets, you have to impart your wisdom on delegates eager for knowledge, you have to field questions (which means thinking on your feet) and you have to stoke discussions.

Very informative. Easy to understand. Not a typical course which you can easily lose concentration

Thoroughly enjoyed it! It was both informative and practical, the fact it was quite hands on and interactive made the subject matter come to life and the topic elements sink in to some sort of structure! I feel like I actually understand some of the fundamental elements
