Description
The latest news is that the new Discount Rate set in March 2017 is set to change again in the near future. Proposed changes to The Damages Act are now set out in draft form with an invitation for responses. The Draft legislation will consider
- What principles should guide how the Rate is set?
- How often should the Rate be set?
- Who should set the Discount Rate?
The implications for personal injury fee earners are many and varied.
What seems most likely is a return to positive % figures with 0% or even 1% suggested as likely in the draft legislation. This webinar will get you up to speed on all the implications and the ways in which you can prepare your cases for possible future Rate changes.
